Creative Gippsland have developed an exciting new initiative that sees six Artists in Residence in Gippsland towns during May. In Wellington Shire, Heyfield Community Resource Centre is thrilled to be hosting Rene Bahloo – a sculptural weaver from Queensland.
Rene – a highly skilled artist with an extraordinary amount of community arts experience – will lead the local community in a week of creative exploration. Her workshops are suitable for both men and women and could cover things like: free form or traditional baskets, fish traps, string making, larger structures or sculptures.
